After the match, Jose Mourinho was asked why Roma were not so fierce in front of goal that it was difficult for them to finish off their opponents.

“Good question, I don’t have the answer!” Mourinho said to DAZN while smiling.

Mourinho then talked about the problem of Roma who have difficulty eliminating opponents. The Portuguese coach gave his assessment of the performance of the players in the Roma attack.

“Yesterday I finished training with Felix (Afena-Gyan), (Tammy) Abraham, (Nicolo) Zaniolo, (Lorenzo) Pellegrini against the goalkeepers just to try to give them confidence, to train to make the right choices against the goalkeepers. They scored and made mistakes,” said Mourinho.

“It’s difficult to ask for more from Felix. I asked for the most basic things from him, I couldn’t ask for composure in front of goal. Tammy in my opinion is a player who suffers, can’t hide his frustration.”

“Nicolo lacks confidence in scoring goals. In those first half chances he should have shot more.”

“I hope we will score a lot of goals in a few games because we had chances. I’ve seen us create a lot of chances,” said Mourinho.
