The season has ended for Anete Šteinberga, the leader of the Latvian basketball team

The basketball player writes that it is time to put basketball aside for a while.

“At the beginning of December, I suffered a shoulder injury, which after the first medical examination gave hope that after rehabilitation and therapy I would be able to return to the field sooner or later and continue the season with my team,” the basketball player writes. “My physiotherapist tried my best to return to the square, but unfortunately it did not go as planned or hoped. The last test showed that I needed to have shoulder surgery to completely eliminate the effects of the injury, which means end of the season. “

The basketball player adds that recovery will take some time and patience and she cannot wait to return to the court.

The operation will be performed in Latvia in the next week, where the rehabilitation process will also take place, the basketball player said in a conversation with the agency LETA.

The last game was played at Steinberg Square in the Turkish championship on January 12 at the Galatasaray home in Istanbul with 58:61 concessions from Kayseri Bellona.

Steinberg scored 15 points in 31 minutes and 25 seconds after a break of almost a month and a half.

Galatasaray is in sixth place in the tournament table with a balance of 8-6.
