Voting was held to meet the winners of the 2021 Municipal Sports Award, at the Tampico Sports Unit facilities.
The juries to choose the best sports in the city of Buenos Aires were made up of sports journalists, media editors, former athletes and municipal authorities linked to sports.
The vote took place over two days. The first to choose the best athletes and coaches in six categories. They were highly disputed decisions since several Tampico athletes and coaches stood out in national and international events in 2021.
Athletes and sports coaches such as judo, karate, rhythmic gymnastics, boxing, archery, tochito and jiu-jitsu were some of the sports represented in the different triples. The judges freely and secretly chose each of those who, in their opinion, deserved to be awarded each prize.
On the second day, the best sports journalism was voted for in the categories of reporting, video-reporting and photography. This to recognize the great work of the journalists who are dedicated to covering the sports source in the southern area of Tamaulipas.
The Sports Secretary, Marcelo Cazaubón Rincón, was present at both votes to explain the format to follow, but he did not act as judge to decide the winners. Your vote would only be required in the event of a tiebreaker.
With a new voting format, the names of the winners are kept secret. It will be the day of the ceremony, on a date to be defined, when those who have been chosen as the best in each category will be known.
