Turin

Fiorentina after a crazy match”>Dusan Vlahovic has been inaugurated by Juventus. Darko Ristic as the agent of the Serbian striker explained why his client chose to join the Bianconeri.

Vlahovic arrived in Turin and underwent a medical on Friday (28/1/2021), just in time for his 22nd birthday. Juventus then redeemed him from Fiorentina for 70 million euros and will pay him 7 million euros per season until June 2026.

Before moving to Juventus, Vlahovic had been targeted by clubs outside Italy. Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal are known to be interested in signing him, but were rejected.

But when Juventus approached him, the negotiation process went smoothly. Despite opposition from supporters, Fiorentina’s management agreed to let him go, moreover the Bianconeri agreed to the value requested by La Viola.

The smooth transfer of Vlahovic was not separated from the desire of the striker. He is believed to still want to stay in Italy, and Ristic said the charm of Juventus was difficult for his client to resist.

“Juventus is still Juventus,” Ristic told Sky Sport Italia.

Vlahovic is currently the top scorer in Serie A with 17 goals, equal to Ciro Immobile (Lazio). The presence of the Belgrade-born striker is expected to add to the sharpness of Juventus’ front line, which has only scored 34 goals from 23 Italian League matches this season.

Vlahovic plans to wear the number 7. This number was last used by Cristiano Ronaldo.
