Tino Asprilla celebrated Yaser Asprilla’s statement in which he stated that he will be better than him | Colombia selection

The Yaser Asprilla issue has given rise to talk in recent weeks. From his signing to Watford in England, through his call to the Colombian National Team and ending, or at least that is expected, with the statement, controversial for many, regarding Faustino Asprilla.

“As I go, with humility and all that, I think I’m going to be better than him (Asprilla). I believe in my characteristics and in my talent”, were the words that put together a whole ‘mess’ on social networks.

While the vast majority criticized the young attacker, calling him “enlarged”, many others defended his position of confidence. Quite a debate until the person directly involved finally spoke.

In dialogue with the Blu Radio program ‘Blog Deportivo’, ‘Tino’, very much in his uncomplicated style, gave his impression of the boy’s statement that surprised the FPC with Envigado.

“I think that is very good. That he not only think of me, think of many players who were better than me. And I say, hopefully he can beat us all because that’s good for soccer and the Colombian National Team. Give joy to the people of Colombia”, mentioned the former soccer player.

To settle any doubt, he reaffirmed: “I am the first to congratulate him, it has to be that way. We all wanted to be better than our idols”. Precisely on the latter, he revealed that in Colombia he greatly admired Bernardo Redín and internationally Marco van Basten.

If this boy does well, we all do well. I wish him and wish him the best. That he can demonstrate his football because he has impressive conditions. Let’s hope he has a bright future”, he concluded.

And he could not miss his humorous comment: “If he plays well, he must be a relative of mine. If he plays bad, no”.
