The Tokyo Club yesterday met the rivals it will face in the first phase of the 2022 Federal Tournament, third category of Argentine basketball, where he will seek promotion to the Argentine League (Second).
As reported by the Oriental Press area, from the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CAB) the participation in the Tokyo group -the only missionary- of Corrientes Amad de Goya, San Martín de Curuzú Cuatiá and Colón de Corrientes was confirmed; while for Chaco the Deportivo Acción of Sáenz Peña, Sarmiento, Regatas and Hindú, all from Resistencia, will participate.
The contest will begin on January 28 and, as for the format, the regular phase will contemplate a single round to all against all. The first two of the group will advance to the second stage, while the remaining six teams will play playoffs to define the other two qualifying places to the next instance.
The Tokyo squad continues with the preseason work and in the last few hours entered the final phase on the way to the competition, always under the technical direction of the Cordovan coach Agustín Ponissi and his team.
