Top 14: Ahead of the duplicates … The matches postponed because of the Covid will take place during the VI Nations

There weren’t many other solutions. We expected it, but this gives, at the start of 2022, twenty months before the World Cup in France, a rather confused image of tricolor rugby. The Top 14 will therefore be contested during each weekend when the Blues will be involved in the Six Nations Tournament.

The championship matches postponed in recent weeks due to Covid-19 have indeed been rescheduled as a priority in February and March, during the Tournament, by the National Rugby League (LNR). The governing body of the body decided to favor February 12, March 12 and March 19, weekends during which the XV of France will respectively face Ireland (Saturday February 12 at 5:45 p.m.), the Country Wales (Friday March 11 at 9 p.m.) and England (Saturday March 19 at 9 p.m.).

Seven elite matches have been postponed in total: four from the 13th day (“Boxing Day”), one from the 14th and two from the 15th. They have been reprogrammed in the chronological order of their initial programming. The most impacted club will be Toulon, which is three games behind and will therefore play every weekend without interruption. If new meetings were to be postponed, the LNR has identified other withdrawal dates, on the sidelines of the final stages of the European Cups, provided that the clubs concerned do not participate: April 9, April 16, 7 May, May 14, May 28.

The new dates. Friday February 11, 9 p.m .: Stade Toulouse – Stade Français. Saturday February 12, 2:15 p.m.: Racing 92 – Pau. 15 hours : Brive – Clermont. 21 h 5 : Toulon – Bordeaux-Bègles. Saturday, March 12, 9:05 p.m.: Montpellier – Toulon. Saturday, March 19, 5:15 p.m .: Toulon – La Rochelle. Sunday, March 20, 9:05 p.m .: Toulouse stadium – Montpellier.
