Chiseling another season that allows them to qualify for the playoffs and continue to grow as a team, is the task that the Toros de Torreón have set themselves, who continue to present reinforcements for the 2022 season of the strong State Basketball League (LBE) of Chihuahua, one of the three professional circuits most important in Mexican basketball.
For the second consecutive year, the board of the Astado team has bet all its chips on Mexican talent, for which they put together an elite roster, with young players who have had experience in high caliber circuits such as the LNBP and who have been part of national team processes. One of the most anticipated returns by fans to the bullfighting team and which was confirmed yesterday, is that of Alejandro “Alex” Reyna, who shone brightly in 2021 and remained part of the national team, so he will seek to endorse that status in The season starts next weekend.
Toros will also have Jonatan Machado, part of the Mexican team that achieved a historic victory against the United States in the last FIBA window, he arrives to replace Omar de Haro, who unfortunately will not be able to play this season, due to injury. The LNBP players, José “Pepe” García (from the Fuerza Regia champion) and Iván Venegas (Halcones de Xalapa), will also play for coach Sebastián Sucarrat, along with elements such as Luis Andrassi, Raúl Olalde and Eduardo Girón, in addition to the LBE debutants, Iván Montano and Nicholas Hill Flores.
