On Wednesday night Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic were in charge of giving us one of those performances that become part of the memorable moments of this campaign, one shining with the Sixers and the Serbian being decisive in the Nuggets’ victory against Clippers.
Embiid the soul of the Sixers
The Cameroonian equaled his best points record by scoring 50 in the Sixers’ win over the Magic, but what makes this occasion special is that he did it in just 27 minutes on the court. Embiid practically got it in three quarters, because in the last period he did not get to play a minute. Joel Embiid dominated Orlando at will, also getting 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. He was very close to the historical mark of the NBA with less time to reach 50 points, the record is held by Klay Thompson who took 26:33 seconds to reach 52 units.

The Joker got his third consecutive triple-double in an exciting duel that was resolved in overtime and that was decided in favor of Denver with a pass from Jokic to Aaron Gordon, who scored the triple of victory over Clippers. Jokic finished with 49 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists.
Great night for this pair of stars whom we will see in Cleveland in a few weeks and who will also fight for the MVP of the season.
