Venezuelan Eduin Becerra won the fifth stage of the Vuelta al Táchira

The Venezuelan cyclist, Eduin Becerra (Ángels Hernández Foundation) won this Thursday in the fifth stage of the 57th edition of the Vuelta al Táchira by Bicycle, a 101.5-kilometre journey disputed between the towns of La Tendida and La Grita, sports media reported.

With a time of 2 hours, 46 minutes and 27 seconds, Becerra won the victory when he arrived at La Grita ahead of fellow Creoles Roniel Campos (Deportivo Táchira –JHS) and Anderson Paredes (VEN / Fundación Ángeles Hernández), second and third respectively.

The Colombian Juan Alcides Espinel (JB – Calzado Power Arroz Zulia), who donned the leader’s jersey on the fourth day, remained at the head of the individual general classification of the Venezuelan round.

The Vuelta al Táchira will continue this Friday with the dispute of its sixth and antepenultimate stage, of 114, 1 kilometers starting in La Plata de Concafé and arriving in the town of Casa del Padre.
