Ville d’Eu: A free session to discover taiso on Saturday January 22

Saturday January 22, 2022, the judo club of Eu (Seine Maritime) offers an introductory session taïso. This modern method, built on traditional exercises of preparation for judo, allows you to get back in shape.

“His practice allows you to prepare your body well, to protect yourself and to improve your physical potential. Of Japanese origin, taiso is open to beginners, sports or not, to those who have never practiced a martial art. It is practiced in a dojo, dressed in a judogi or simply in sportswear. Nathalie Leger, president of Judo Club of Eu, who has decided to offer a free discovery session in his dojo (rue des frères Anguier), on Saturday January 22 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

“It’s a discipline that allows everyone to go at their own pace, open to people who are overweight, with weak muscles or have physical fitness concerns. It can be a fun alternative to fitness sports such as step, fitness or gymnastics. Its practice allows you to prepare your body well, to protect yourself and to improve your physical potential. The muscles thus develop their elasticity because they are solicited without force, in a natural way, the taïso improves the control of the gestures and the memory. The movements to be carried out do not only require strength because they are slow, work on endurance, precision and stability in the gestures” continues the president.

This sport offers a balance of which the Asian arts have the secret between body and mind, between work and gentleness, between strength and finesse, but also an anti-stress. On the one hand, the practitioner really spends himself by burning calories, sweating, eliminating with a very appreciable small “detox” effect. On the other hand, it is necessary to concentrate on carrying out new exercises, which helps to unhook from life and daily stress. It is recognized that it is easier to bend down and get up when you regularly do sheathing work, when you have strengthened the deep muscles and the lower limbs. The different exercises are done in circuit training or accompanied by a mini-choreography.
