Vitoria-Gasteiz will host the Senior National Badminton Master during the weekend of January 22 and 23. This test will be held in Aranalde sports center and will bring together nearly 100 players from different autonomous communities from 30 to over 65 years old. Among all of them there will be 20 players from Álava who will try to be champions of Spain.
The National Senior Badminton Master will start on saturday january 22 at 9:00. Throughout the day, they will be played singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches. All matches are played to the best of 3 sets of 21 points. In addition, most of these matches will be from the group stage, where only the first of each group goes to the final phase.
The sunday january 23 will be played semifinals and finals of each category. After them, the organization of the tournament will deliver the medals and trophies at 1:00 p.m. The categories that dispute this test in Vitoria-Gasteiz are the following:
- A1: 30 to 35 years old
- A2: 35 to 40 years old
- B1: 40 to 45 years old
- B2: 45 to 50 years old
- C1: 50 to 55 years old
- C2: 55 to 60 years old
- D: 60 to 65 years old
- SV: more than 65 years
