The German has apologized for his protests after receiving a yellow card in the Elche-Real game in the Copa del Rey last week.
Toni Kroos has launched a message through his networks to criticize his way of protesting against referee Jorge Figueroa Vázquez during the Copa del Rey match against Elche and which cost him a yellow card.
Although the German was absolutely right because he never touched his opponent on this action, as can be seen in the images of the video below, the Real player underlines the importance of transmitting the best values to the youngest.
The midfielder, who has launched a mobile app with the Toni Kroos Academy which allows people to take football lessons, said: “In times of great emotion it is sometimes difficult to keep calm, you may have to be seen this situation last weekend when I received a yellow card and was not entirely ok with it I think it is normal to argue with the referees or other players if you disagree with a decision. However, I firmly believe that it is important to act with respect on the pitch, especially to be a good example for our children”, commented the player in a video.
“Sometimes with the emotions on the pitch it’s difficult, but I like everyone else have to remember who is watching us. I try to teach these values on and off the pitch at the Toni Kroos Academy,” said concluded the German.
