World footballer election: Robert Lewandowski elected – who voted for whom – football

Ronaldo is a Lewandowski fan, Messi apparently not!

When he was voted FIFA World Player of the Year again, Bayern star Robert Lewandowski (33) was able to rely not only on the votes from Germany but also on those of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (36).

The Portuguese put Lewy first on his list. In front of N’Golo Kanté (30) and Jorginho (30). Lewandowski’s competitor Lionel Messi (34), on the other hand, completely ignored Lewandowski! He instead relied on his PSG teammates Neymar (29) and Mbappé (23) and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema (34).

Bayern’s top scorer received support from both national coach Hansi Flick (56) and Bayern team-mate Manuel Neuer (34). Both put the star striker from Munich in first place in their ranking. Flick put Salah and Kylian Mbappé in the places behind Lewandowski, Neuer also awarded points to Salah and Chelsea’s N’Golo Kanté.

The trainers and captains of all national teams, selected journalists and fans worldwide were equally decisive in the choice by the world association Fifa.

Lewandowski himself voted as Poland captain for Chelsea’s Jorginho ahead of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
