Seventeen teams are gearing up to compete in the first-ever Regional Walking football Tournament, taking place tomorrow at the Estádio Municipal da Ribeira Brava. The event promises a day filled with exciting matches, camaraderie, and cultural experiences.
The action kicks off at 9:30 am, following a brief opening ceremony at 9:15 am.Teams are expected to arrive by 9:00 am to prepare for the competition.
The tournament will feature both recreational and competitive divisions, catering to players of all skill levels. After the preliminary rounds, the top teams will face off in the finals at 12:15 pm, followed by the medal ceremony at 12:30 pm.
Beyond the thrill of the game, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful lunch in the Municipal Garden at 1:00 pm.
The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring Madeira’s rich cultural heritage. Teams can delve into the island’s history at the Ethnographic Museum of Madeira at 2:30 pm, followed by a visit to the Silver Museum at 3:30 pm.
The day will culminate with a reception hosted by the City Hall in the Main Hall at 4:30 pm, providing a chance for participants to mingle and celebrate the success of the tournament.
