Yesterday morning a special archery event was held as part of the 2022 edition of the Reunion Olympics. A non-scoring contest, of a recreational nature, with the presence of several local archers who enjoyed an ideal morning at the Club Barrio Alegre campsite. Archers participated in the WA recurve, low, long bow, instinctive recurve, WA compound and hunter compound categories of all ages. It was played “according to the FATARCO 2020 standards for the 3d format.”
From the organization they designed a tour of the club’s campsite, where the archers, divided by categories, went through different shooting sectors, having to hit targets of greater and lesser size and distance, with various 3d formats of animals, no doubt one of the greatest challenges and attractions for all. Pig, wild boar, deer and owls, in small and larger sizes formed in 3d, served as targets for the shooters. Several of them told Lto Opinion the difficulty of these “targets” that are closer to the ground, in relation to the usual targets.
