31-year-old Moroccan striker Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, who plays in the Saudi league, announced he was donating a “fully equipped house to Rayan’s family”. “I decided to help them on my behalf, on behalf of my family and on behalf of all Moroccans and Muslims, and give them some joy,” said the football star.

In Belgium, several players paid tribute to the tragically deceased boy. After his goal against Club Brugge, Tarik Tissoudali, striker of AA Gent, received a special jersey on which was inscribed Rayan’s name and the phrase in Arabic “We belong to Allah and to Him we will return”.
