Collecting is something that knows no limits and has been gaining great relevance among the community. If we must talk about one that has been growing in recent years, it is the collection of Pokémon cards. If you are interested in this field, today we will tell you about a rare card that reached an incredible price.

If you are a fan of the Pokémon TCG, you know that the new Brilliant Stars set is going on sale today, but you also surely know the legendary Pikachu Illustrator card, the rarest card in the history of the series and of any franchise of entertainment (with the exception of sports cards), whose illustration was done by Atsuko Nishida, recognized as the designer of Pikachu along with Ken Sugimori.

Said letter was put up for auction with the Goldin house and managed to reach the property of $750,000 USD. It should be noted that the buyer’s premium was added to said amount, so the final price was $900,000 USD. This means that so far this has been the most expensive card in the entire collection.

It should be noted that only 39 copies were produced, which were distributed as part of a CoroCoro magazine contest, which invited children to send their drawings and the winners received this letter as a prize.

Perhaps for that reason this card has gained so much importance within the TCG and is very valuable to collectors.
