After 1-1 in Lautern: That’s why the point is good for 1. FC Magdeburg – 3rd division

Division of points in the third division summit meeting! 1. FC Magdeburg did not get past a 2-2 (1-0) win at the second Kaiserslautern. However, the third division leader was not really sad.

Captain Tobias Müller (27) explains: “If you lead twice in a game like this, then you want to make it over time. But it’s just that Kaiserslautern didn’t get any closer to us and the matchday was more of a draw.”

Twelve games before the end of the season, the FCM is still twelve points ahead of its closest pursuer. The rise seems inevitable – also because on the Betzenberg it could be seen once again that even the best defense in the league is no obstacle for the FCM.

FCK had previously conceded three goals in twelve home games. But Magdeburg’s super dribblers played the Lauter defense giants sometimes dizzy.

When Sirlord Conteh made it 1-0 (32′), Tatsuya Ito outdid his opponents in the penalty area. Before Baris Atik’s penalty goal (2:1/55.), Conteh could only be stopped against the rules.

The fact that it was still not enough for a threesome was mainly due to the FCM itself. Because the goals from Tomiak (51st) and Zuck (67th) came from their own mistakes – coach Christian Titz (50) also knows this. He explains: “We are disappointed because we actually gave up a game where we didn’t continue to play it as clearly as we would have liked.”

That probably won’t change anything in terms of ascent…
