ACCOUNT The Malaysian national team‘s Instagram fan base, @malayantiger.co, insinuated the Indonesia U-23 national team who withdrew from the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup. The innuendo was made in the latest caption in their upload.
Yesterday, the account above uploaded a photo of the departure of the Malaysian U-23 National Team for the U-23 AFF Cup which will be held in Cambodia on 14-26 February 2022. In addition to giving greetings, they satirized the U-23 Indonesian National Team, which had withdrawn before the war.
“Wishing the best Malayan Tiger! Fight it out. Let’s fight all obstacles. Instead of running away from the battlefield for various reasons,” the account wrote.
Suddenly the upload above attracted the attention of netizens in the country. Hundreds of Indonesian netizens immediately flooded the comments column on the account.
“The most knocked out in the group phase,” wrote the account @dionsubarkah_ which predicts the U-23 Malaysia national team will fall in the group phase of the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup.
“Pretending to say run away from the battlefield. At least go home first like yesterday,” wrote the account @aybndjkdn quipping the senior Malaysian national team who were knocked out in the 2020 AFF Cup Group Phase.
“Congratulations, Vietnam won the AFF U-23 Cup,” said the account @ragil_syfrno who predicted that Vietnam would win the AFF U-23 Cup as the U-23 Indonesian national team withdrew.

Before withdrawing from the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup, the U-23 Indonesian National Team was a strong candidate for champion. A number of players who brought the Indonesian national team to qualify for the 2020 AFF Cup final, were called back in this event.
Some of them are Alfeandra Dewangga, Rachmat Irianto, Ramai Rumakiek, Pratama Arhan and many more. One more thing, the U-23 Indonesian National Team is managed by a world-class coach, Shin Tae-yong, thereby increasing the chances of the Garuda Muda squad to be the best.
Unfortunately, the decision to withdraw had to be taken by the U-23 Indonesian National Team as the defending champion. The reason is because there are seven players who are positive for Covid-19, four players are indicated, and three players are injured.
