Sporting d’Anderlecht leave with a point from their trip to Leuven. Facing OHL, the Mauves failed to find the fault while Van Crombrugge made several great saves to conclude the match with a score of 0-0, which does not reflect the quality of the meeting.
The first half, which was kicked off by recent Leuven Olympic champion Bart Swings, was interrupted for a long time due to an intervention by the emergency services in the bays of the Den Dreef stadium.
If the fans present did not see a goal, the game was rich in many attempts on goal, including that of Sergio Gomez who came to die on the local post (6th). Shortly before, Hendrik Van Crombrugge had distinguished himself with two saves, successively on Maertens (2nd) and Chakla (4th).
The RSCA inherited the clearest opportunity in the second act but Christian Kouamé, however alone at the penalty spot, missed the target (69th). In the last moments, Michael Murillo was excluded for a yellow second, which had the gift of irritating Vincent Kompany. It was not to the taste of Erik Lambrechts, who also expelled the purple T1.
In the standings, Anderlecht remains 4th with 52 points, 12 lengths behind Union, which shared against Eupen in the afternoon (0-0). Club Brugge (2nd, 54 pts) and Antwerp (3rd, 53 pts) face off on Sunday at Jan Breydel.
