Cúcuta Deportivo continues to take steps for its return to competition and would already be dealing with not minor details such as the election of a coach.
It is worth mentioning that a reorganization agreement was recently approved between the liquidator Rodrigo Tamayo and the creditors, which was confirmed by the mayor of the North Santander capital Jairo Yáñez, a fact that gives “administrative life” to the institution.
Although it is a fact that the controversial director José Augusto Cadena, under whose administration the club went into crisis and practically disappeared, will not be part of a new administrative body but would make decisions, at least from what is said in the Medellin press.
The journalist Carlos Ortega reports on approaches with a coach who could reach the bench: it is Aquivaldo Mosquera, who would have recently met with Cadena to talk about the new project. The details of the meeting were not disclosed, but the image proves at least an informal meeting.
It is said that Eduardo Silva Meluk, former director of Medellín and Millonarios, would be the president of this new Cúcuta Deportivo, which in any case is pending to re-manage its Dimayor affiliation and process its sports recognition before the Ministry of Sports to return to the competition.
