The meeting of the Federal Council, initially scheduled for the month of April, was brought forward to Saturday 12 February 2022, promptly convened in Rome at the headquarters of the Federation, following the receipt of the resignation letter from the outgoing Deputy Vice President Oscar De Pellegrin.
After having approved the minutes of the Federal Council of 15 January 2022, the Council then followed the provisions of the Statute in these cases: it took note and ratified the resignation of Oscar De Pellegrin from his managerial position and proceeded to the election of a new Vice president.
President Scarzella, who expressed regret over De Pellegrin’s decision, proposed Councilor Mariangela Casartelli as the new Vice President.
The vote then went on, at the end of which Mariangela Casartelli was elected as FITARCO Vice-President.
Subsequently he was unanimously elected as Deputy Vice President Sante Spigarelli.
The new Presidency Council is therefore composed as follows:
Mario Scarzella – President
Health Spigarelli – Deputy Vice President (Representative of the Technicians)
Mariangela Casartelli – Vice president
Cristina Pernazza – Representative Advisor of Athletes
The recomposition of the Commissions and Working Groups will also be published with a specific federal circular, as well as the representatives of the various Federal Technical Sectors with the relative staff of the technical structure. (Source FITARCO)
