The Temple of Rock will be the setting for a new window towards the FIBA World Cup 2023. It will take place on Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26, prior to the Carnival holiday.
The second qualifying window is coming towards the FIBA World Cup 2023, in which the Argentine National Team will seek its place in the World Cup event that will be held jointly between the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia. In the run-up to the Carnival holidays, Argentina will receive its rivals from Group A: Venezuela, Panama and Paraguay.
After the victories against Paraguay in the first window played in November, the National Team returns to play at home in search of one of the seven places on the continent for the World Cup. The appointment will be at the Temple of Rock (Avenida Libertador 7395, CABA) next Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26, on a very special weekend that promises a full stadium to cheer on the team.
On the first day of Friday 25, Argentina will have an exciting matchup against Venezuela starting at 9:40 p.m. Previously, in the first shift and from 6:40 p.m., Paraguay and Panama will face each other.
Argentina-Venezuela a titanic duel against one of the most important teams in South America, in a clash of undefeated (both go with a record of 2-0 in Group A of the Americas Qualifiers) and also about what will be a night special for our coach, Néstor García. It should be remembered that Che was coach of the Vinotinto from 2013 to 2017, consecrating himself in that period with the South American titles of 2014 and 2016 (Margarita Island and Caracas respectively), in addition to the Mexico Pre-Olympic in 2015. In the latter, and in 2014 , with victories precisely against Argentina in the final.
The next day, on Saturday 26, Paraguay and Venezuela will open the day facing each other from 6:10 p.m., while Argentina will take the field at 9:10 p.m. to play against Panama and close this second window.

Sixteen countries in the Americas are seeking to win one of the seven places on the continent at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023: Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, US Virgin Islands, United States, Venezuela.
The qualifiers will be divided into six windows, beginning in November 2021 and ending in February 2023. The first round was divided into groups of four teams, with doubleheaders in the same country.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Second Round for their region qualifiers. At that stage there will be two groups of six teams, who will maintain their results from the previous round. At the end of these six additional games per team, the top three teams from each group, plus the fourth best team, will qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
