The irundarra team escaped after 9-7 and clearly dominated Iberoquinoa Antequera in Artaleku
The Sacyr Asobal League is full of episodes in which teams from the lower zone beat others from the top. Without going any further, on Thursday Bidasoa Irun did not certify their victory against the penultimate classified until practically the last minute. But yesterday, Iberoquinoa Antequera had no chance against the solid second-placed team, who won 33-19 and thus closed their cycle of ten games in 25 days.
The Andalusian team fell far behind in the standings, with just four points, but in the first leg of the match they were able to look their mighty host in the eye. This was not fine in some of the first attacks and, although he changed the initial 0-1 for 3-1 and already had four goals in the 8-4, lost balls and the Andalusian connection with the pivot did not allow him to dominate with greater clarity. In any case, they were minor problems or nothing that could not be fixed.

The 9-7 came with the third goal followed by pivot Ortega and immediately the visitors ran out of gas, who spent almost nine minutes without being able to hit the yellow goal. Too much time for Bidasoa Irun not to take advantage of it. The 7-0 run put the difference of eight goals on the scoreboard, the same with which the break was reached, 17-9.
The game was on track and even more so with the 3-0 lead at the start of the second half. Such a panorama allowed Jacobo Cuétara to give rest to some of the players who have had the most wear and tear in recent weeks and give more minutes, if possible, to the kids of the Ilcapo Hondarribia subsidiary. Yesterday it was the turn of Nieto (two goals), Furundarena (1), Gey-Emparan (5) and Iribar (1), who enjoyed themselves and made the Bidasotar fans enjoy themselves, proud of the work of the academy and the results it is giving .
