ATP > Kyrgios: “If Nadal wins Roland-Garros, he will undoubtedly be the GOAT”

Still host of a podcast titled No Boundary, Nick Kyrgios recently reflected on Rafael Nadal’s incredible victory at the Australian Open when he was trailing two sets to nothing by Daniil Medvedev in the final. Really impressed by this ability to never let go, the Australian even got wet on the famous debate of the best player of all time (GOAT, editor’s note).

“I think it was a horrible game for Rafa. He knew he wasn’t going to get any free points on serve. Medvedev just wants to play him, and Medvedev can still serve anywhere on the court. When he won the first set, then the second, I thought it was going to be very hard for Rafa to come back. I saw 3–2, 0–40. Then I turned it back on 2 1/2 hours later and my first thoughts were, “no fucking way”. I have never doubted Rafa so much in his career. I think the debate over the best player of all time will be over if he wins Roland-Garros. If he wins Roland‐Garros, he will undoubtedly be the GOAT. »
