In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Ricardo Piatti spoke about the rise of Carlos Alcaraz. The Italian coach considers this rise as a good thing for his foal, Jannik Sinner, who is no longer alone in the rank of superstar in the making.
“The emergence of Alcaraz is something positive, it stimulates him and keeps him on the tightrope at the same time, that’s good. Alcaraz works with Juan Carlos Ferrero, a great champion. I don’t rule out Jannik adding a former Grand Slam champion to his team in the future, which I already did when working with Milos Raonic. I will always be here, but if you want to improve you have to be constantly open to new things », assured Piatti, whose aim is to take the 20-year-old, currently 10e in the ATP rankings, at the top of world tennis.
