On behalf of the 27th day of the Euroleague, Barca will not travel to Saint Petersburg this Friday. The Spanish team took the decision not to go there in reaction to the war declared on Ukraine by Russia.
“Following the information that has emerged in recent hours on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, FC Barcelona has decided not to go to Saint Petersburg. Various meetings with the parties concerned are scheduled for this afternoon. (Thursday) and a decision will be made in the next few hours”Barca said in a statement.
As a reminder, it is not one but two matches that the Spaniards had to play since the first was scheduled for this Friday against the Zénith and the second against CSKA Moscow on Sunday 27 February. The match scheduled for 6 p.m. this Thursday between Bayern Munich and CSKA Moscow is maintained.
