Salt Lake City (AP) – The German national basketball player Dennis Schröder suffered a defeat on his debut for his new NBA club Houston Rockets. Schröder himself remained pale at 101:135 at the Utah Jazz with four points and five assists.
The Rockets lost for the fifth straight game and are bottom of the Western Conference. Schröder moved to Houston last week in exchange for Daniel Theis from the Boston Celtics, among others.
Even a strong Franz Wagner couldn’t prevent his Orlando Magic from losing 111:121 at the Denver Nuggets. Wagner scored 26 points and was the best thrower of the game, level with superstar Nikola Jokic. In addition, the 20-year-old Berliner also had eight rebounds, four assists and two ball wins. Franz Wagner’s older brother Moritz is currently absent from the Magic with a rib injury.
Even without their two long-term injured All-Stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers are on course for the playoffs with German Isaiah Hartenstein. The Clippers defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-104. A spirited Hartenstein converted all of his shots and contributed nine points, six rebounds and two assists to the Clippers’ success.
The Brooklyn Nets, meanwhile, ended their 11-game losing streak. Without their stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and new signing Ben Simmons, the Nets beat the Sacramento Kings 109-85.
