Bàsquet Girona has announced the signing of veteran forward Txemi Urtasun, bolstering their roster for the remainder of the season. Urtasun joins the team from BAXI Manresa, were he was on a temporary contract.
This move brings a wealth of experience to Girona. Urtasun boasts a long and distinguished career in Spanish basketball, having competed in both the ACB and LEB Or leagues. His journey began in the 2002/03 season with Bilbao in the LEB Or, before making his ACB debut three years later with Breogán.
Urtasun’s impressive resume includes stints with notable clubs like Sevilla and Gran Canaria, where he gained valuable experience in the Eurocup. He also showcased his talents on the European stage during his two-year tenure with Malaga in the Euroleague.
