Bundesliga: Max Kruse scores, VfL Wolfsburg defeats Eintracht Frankfurt – Bundesliga

He loves playing Frankfurt!

Max Kruse (33) scores against Eintracht in the fourth game in a row. The 1-0 for Wolfsburg was his sixth goal. And his goal premiere for the wolves after the return. The Frankfurters conceded the third home defeat in a row at 0:2 and remain without a win at home this year.

The scene of the game in the 26th minute: Kruse curves out of the opponent’s penalty area. Eintracht’s Martin Hinteregger stands in his way. Daring use. Because both players stand with one leg in and the other outside of the penalty area.

Referee Willenborg does not point to the penalty spot at first. But the VAR checks and intervenes. Poker-Face Kruse circles the penalty with his left cheeky over goalkeeper Trapp into the goal (27th).

It was the 23rd penalty that Kruse converted directly in the Bundesliga (he made another one in the margin).

And unity? Coach Glasner initially does without wing star Filip Kostic, who is not yet one hundred percent fit after severe flu and a fever of 40 degrees. But without the Serbs little goes on the attack. Only Lindstrøm has a chance, but goalkeeper Casteels fails (41st).

After Kostic was substituted on (62′), Frankfurt ran up, but didn’t manage to beat Wolves, who celebrated their second win in a row with newcomer Kruse thanks to Lukebakios’ 2-0 (90’+3′). Coach Kohfeldt has a real ace!
