The Spanish tennis players Albert Ramos and Pedro Martínez entered this Friday in the semifinal round of the ATP tournament in Santiago (Chile), of category 250 that is played on clay, by beating the Argentine Facundo Bagnis (7-5, 6-2 ) and German Yannick Hanfmann (6-2 and 6-2), respectively.
Ramos, champion three weeks ago in Córdoba, is back in the fight on the American tour, convincing with two good victories so far in Chile. The Catalan came from behind in the first set when Bagnis served to close it at 3-5, adding four games in a row.
The Spanish tennis player connected his game to enter the second set strong and this time take the lead on the scoreboard, with up to three ‘breaks’. His rival in search of a place in the final will be the also Argentinian Sebastián Báez.
For his part, Pedro Martínez was overwhelming against Hanfmann and had no problem sealing his ticket to the semis, the second of his career after being a finalist in Kitzbuhel last year. The one from Alcira was sensational and signed his pass without any setbacks in the final games. His next rival will be the winner of the Alejandro Tabilo-Miomir Kecmanovic.
