Christensen to Bayern? Transfer Insider estimates the probability at 70 percent

Chelsea 0: 1: emergency doctor use in the final, Antonio Rüdiger with back goal – football”>Andreas Christensen is the clear favorite to succeed Niklas Süle at Bayern Munich. According to reports, however, talks with the Dane are going very slowly. Reason: The 25-year-old demands too much salary. Transfer insider and Bayern connoisseur Christian Falk still estimates the chances that the Chelsea professional will end up with the record champions.

At the latest after the indisputable defensive performance against VfL Bochum (2:4), the search for a new central defender at FC Bayern will certainly pick up speed again. One thing is clear: Munich will have to increase their staff in the summer. Until recently, the list of candidates was full to bursting, but two favorites have now emerged.

Christensen remains Bavaria’s ideal solution

Despite the difficult financial conditions, Andreas Christensen from Chelsea remains Bayern’s preferred solution for the center of defense, as reported by “BILD” football boss Christian Falk. However, the Dane is said to be demanding more than the ten million euros annual salary that Munich is willing to pay. However, rumor has it that the two sides are not too far apart. Accordingly, Christensen is demanding almost 12 million euros.

Falk assumes that Bayern will “buckle” in the end and estimates the probability at 70 percent that the Danish international will switch to Bayern in the summer.

“I would take a look around Freiburg”

Plan B could be Nico Schlotterbeck from SC Freiburg. The 22-year-old has also been repeatedly associated with FCB recently. However, it costs a fee of 20-30 million euros. In addition, there should be doubts about the Isar as to whether the DFB youngster would be a real reinforcement for Munich.

Schlotterbeck would be an ideal candidate for ex-Bayern professional Thomas Helmer: “I would take a look around in Freiburg. Schlotterbeck is doing great. You can also develop it further. That would be someone I can imagine that he can do with Bayern.”

Falk also considers this option to be feasible and sees the probability of a transfer in the summer at 50 percent.
