The Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Cittaducale, as part of a targeted control of the territory aimed at preventing and combating predatory crimes, performed a coordinated wide-ranging service. The nine crews, employed on the main roads, carried out 12 checkpoints in the territories of the municipalities of Borgorose, Cittaducale, Antrodoco, Leonessa and Amatrice, identifying 97 people, mainly in transit on the Salaria to Ascoli Piceno and on the SP 578 Salto Cicolana.
In Canetra, a hamlet of Castel Sant’Angelo, the Carabinieri of the Cittaducale station checked four immigrants without identity documents, in the company of a Tunisian who, subjected to personal search, was found in possession of 1.2 grams of hashish . Foreigners were referred to the Judicial Authority for the violation of the current immigration legislation.
In Borgorose the soldiers of the local station, during a checkpoint, identified a non-EU citizen of Moroccan origin in possession of a dose of cocaine.
In Leonessa, following a road accident, the local Carabinieri Station referred a young man of Romanian origin to the Judicial Authority for driving in a state of alteration from alcohol and use of drugs. The man was then hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the accident.
Even the Radiomobile Rate of Cittaducale denounced a local young man for driving under the influence of alcohol. In both cases the licenses were withdrawn and the vehicles subjected to administrative detention.
Finally, the same tax rate denounced a non-EU citizen who was carrying two baseball bats in his car without a justified reason. He too had a dose of cocaine with him.
The three men found in possession of narcotics were reported, as employers, to the Prefecture of Rieti.
