Colombians Avilés Hurtado, from Pachuca, and Brayan Angulo, from Tijuana, appeared this Thursday in the ideal team for the fourth day of the Clausura 2022 Mexican soccer tournament. Hurtado was one of the figures of the fourth date when scoring a Chilean goal that contributed so that Pachuca defeated Necaxa 1-3 last Saturday and placed fourth in the championship standings.

Hurtado’s goal was his first in the Clausura and went around the world as it was highlighted on the FIFA Twitter account, which described it as a “great goal”. Angulo participated 90 minutes last Saturday in the first victory in the Tijuana tournament for Argentine coach Sebastián Méndez, who beat Pumas UNAM 1-0.

The 32-year-old winger has stood out since his signing with Tijuana two tournaments ago, a team of which he has become the captain and leader of the defense. Those of Méndez occupy the twelfth position of the Clausura table.

Other South Americans highlighted by the League were the Argentine Lisandro López, scorer of the goal with which Tijuana beat the Pumas; the Brazilian Gustavo Ferrareis, who contributed to Puebla winning 0-2 against Querétaro, and the Uruguayan Juan Sanabria, who distributed an assist in San Luis’s 2-3 victory over América. The Argentine Julio Furch, who returned to activity after overcoming covid-19, also stood out in the ideal box for helping with a pass for the goal for Atlas to beat Santos Laguna 2-1.

The Spanish Unai Bilbao, scorer of the first goal with which San Luis defeated America, and the Mexicans Alexis Vega, from Guadalajara; Juan Pablo Vigón, of the UANL Tigers; and Uriel Antuna and goalkeeper Jesús Corona, from Cruz Azul, complemented the team whose coach is the Argentine Nicolás Larcamón, who keeps the modest Puebla as the leader of the tournament table.

The Clausura will resume with the fifth day that will begin this Friday with the visit of Tijuana to Mazatlán FC and Atlas to Puebla. On Saturday, San Luis will host Toluca, Guadalajara will host Tigres UANL, Cruz Azul will host Necaxa, and Santos Laguna will host America. The UNAM Pumas will host the León on Sunday and the Pachuca del Querétaro on Monday. The duel Monterrey-Juárez FC, which will be played on March 8, will remain on the day.
