The Dutch managed to take the lead thanks to a goal from Yorbe Vertessen (85th), the Belgian having entered the game ten minutes earlier in place of Madueke. The equalization of Saborit in stoppage time (90th + 1) was only adnecdotal for the Israelis who left the competition. Kjell Peersman and Johan Bakayoko remained on the PSV bench.
Leicester, which had largely won the first leg 4-1, offered qualification and a victory, 1-3, at the Danes of Randers, thanks to a goal from Barnes (2nd) and a double from Maddison (70th and 74th), with a goal from Odey (84th) for the hosts. Without Timothy Castagne, still absent with a thigh injury, Youri Tielemans played 60 minutes for the Foxes before being replaced by Soumare.
Bodo / Glimt created the surprise of these play-offs by winning the double confrontation against Celtic. After a 1-3 first leg victory, the Norwegians won the second leg 2-0 with goals from Solbakken (9th) and Vetlesen (69th) and are on their way to the round of 16.
Olympique de Marseille also triumphed twice against Qarabag. Winners at home in the first leg (3-1), the Marseillais ensured a big victory, 0-3, thanks to Gueye (12th), Guendouzi (77th) and La Fuente (90th + 2).
The last meeting saw the victory and qualification of Partizan Belgrade against Sparta Prague 2-1, after already a victory for the Serbs in the first leg (0-1). Gomes was the man of the game by scoring twice (7th and 24th) before being sent off in the 66th minute. Hlozek scored the Czech goal late in the game (85th).
Vitesse Arnhem and Slavia Prague join the Round of 16
Three teams had yet to emerge from the Conference League play-offs on Thursday at 9 p.m. Without Openda suspended, Vitesse turned the tide and qualified with a 2-0 win over Rapid Vienna. While the Dutch lost 2-1 in Austria, with a goal (and a yellow card synonymous with suspension) from Openda, Vitesse managed to snatch a ticket to the knockout stages of the Conference League thanks to their victory 2-0 at home against Rapid Vienna, following goals from Grbic (3rd) and Bero (19th).
Fenerbahçe could not turn the situation to their advantage after their failure in the first leg (2-3) against Slavia Prague. The Czechs were able to count on goals from Schranz (19th) and Sor (27th and 63rd) to claim victory, 3-1, despite the goal from Yandas (39th).
PAOK also turned the tide by finishing the 90 minutes with enough of an advantage to go into extra time. Regulation time ended 2-1, after goals from Zivkovic (20th) and Vieirinha (26th) for PAOK before a vital goal from Hoegh (80th) for Midtjylland. The Greeks lost 1-0 in Denmark and are therefore playing extra time at the moment.
While waiting for PAOK or Midtjylland, Vitesse and Slavia Prague join Bodo / Glimt, PSV, Partizan Belgrade, Marseille and Leicester in the next round where the eight winners of the group stage await them.
