CaBri’Folles motivated and supportive
Corrézienne Brigitte Nézelof and her “big” sister Caroline Corbeau are preparing to live a great sporting and human adventure, from March 13 to 23, in Sri Lanka, where the twentieth edition of the Raid Amazones will take place with around 300 competitors. The two sisters came up with a catchy name for their team, CaBri’Folles.
In Sri Lanka a demanding and busy sports program awaits them, comprising every morning for six days mountain biking (between 30 and 50 km), trail (between 10 and 20 km), canoeing (between 12 and 16 kilometers at sea) or lake and up to 20 km in the river) and archery.
The afternoons will be devoted to exploring the country and meeting the local population. The Raid also has a solidarity dimension. Divided into teams of 2 or 3, the Amazons defend the colors of an association. CaBri’Folles chose the Solidarity association for Lyna, a 6-year-old girl suffering from a rare disease, Rett syndrome and with multiple disabilities.

A 100% feminine Raid
The two accomplice and athletic sisters have been preparing for the Raid Amazones since 2020.
Business leader and woman of action, head of the Malemort site of LMB industrie specializing in aeronautics, which employs 65 people, Brigitte Nézelof is also the mother of a 15-year-old daughter. After swimming, she turned to running and CrossFit.
“I discovered this Raid, thanks to social networks, she explains. What I liked about the concept was the trip abroad and of course the sporting dimension and the discovery of the country and the other teams. »
As for his sister Caroline Corbeau, a former judoka (first dan black belt), she practices running.
The two women had to prepare their budget for the event, which amounts to around €4,000 per person. “From the start, we had it in our head that we would leave even if we had to break the bank. But, the search for sponsors worked and will allow us to donate part of the money raised to the Solidarité pour Lyna association that we defend,” sums up Brigitte Nézelof.
