The cosnois badminton club held its general meeting on Saturday, finally face-to-face.
“We have almost found our numbers, both among young people and among adults”, notes Francis Gental, the president.
After two white seasons, the 2021-2022 financial year resumed almost normally. Training takes place every evening at the Cassin gymnasium under the leadership of Sylvain Charreau, reappointed as coach.
The Ligériens have participated in several tournaments in the region and have won a few victories: Éléane Charreau in women’s singles in Auxerre (Yonne), Morgan Jamet, associated with a player from Loiret, doubles in Auxerre (Yonne), Morgan Jacquesson-Aurélien Trinquart du double at Chateau-Landon (Seine-et-Marne).
The first official competitions will normally begin soon: the Nièvre youth championship in Cosne, Sunday March 6, will follow the adult championships and the interclub championships. Back to basics with the traditional tournament in Cassin, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April, Easter weekend.
In closing, following the departure of some volunteers, the office underwent some modifications around the president and his vice-president Cyril Siguret and Béatrice Colas, the secretary. Christelle Pautre becomes treasurer.
