Culiacán’s badminton athletes delivered a stellar performance at the recent state eliminatory for the National Games Conade 2022, securing an impressive haul of medals. Held at the New Generation institute, the competition saw Culiacán emerge as a dominant force, claiming three gold, three silver, and four bronze medals for a total of ten.
The city’s young athletes showcased their prowess across various age categories. In the Sub15 women’s division, Culiacán swept the podium, with Kassandra García clinching the state championship title. Ángela Moreno secured the silver medal, while Andrea Inzunza took home the bronze.
The men’s Sub15 category saw a fierce battle, with Ricardo Gámez from Guasave ultimately claiming the gold medal. Ángel Valentín Sepúlveda, also from Guasave, secured the silver, while Jesús peinado and Jesús Ramón Amador from Culiacán shared the bronze.
guasave also made its mark in the Sub17 women’s category, with Danna Coronado taking the gold medal. Mía Millán Leyva from Culiacán earned the silver,and Katia Fragozo Rivera from Culiacán secured the bronze.
