Disciplinary Committee is more lenient to Bryan Heynen: only one match effective suspension | Jupiler Pro League

The Disciplinary Committee for Professional Football has suspended Bryan Heynen for 3 matches and imposed a fine of 2,000 euros after his exclusion from the match against OH Leuven. Heynen’s club Racing Genk can still appeal.

Bryan Heynen was ruled out early in the game against OH Leuven last week. The Genk midfielder landed with his studs on the shin of OHL player Kaba and received a red card on a VAR request.

The Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office demanded a suspension of 3 matches, 2 of which were effective and a fine of 2,500 euros. Genk appealed and the Disciplinary Committee was more lenient on Friday: 3 match suspensions, of which only 1 was effective and a fine of 2,000 euros. Genk can also appeal against this decision.
