EA Sports, EA’s division focused on sports games, is recognized for the main sports-based games on the market, especially FIFA and NFL. Until last year, the company still held the rights of the NCAA, the association of university athletes, but legal problems with the use of student image made NCAA Football, the name of the game based on student American football, on the verge of extinction.

The producer had not given up on the game, and at the time announced that it would plan an exit to the new rules. Today, EA Sports officially announces College Football, successor to NCAA Football, which is partnered with CLC, the group responsible for licensing student brands, in order to launch.
Despite not being able to use real athletes, even with the CLC partnership, EA Sports College Football will have access to the logos, stadiums, uniforms and traditions of more than 100 teams from US educational institutions, ensuring minimal authenticity. In addition, according to the company’s statement, the partnership also ensures that the title will be the only one on the market with student football licenses.

As it is practically a new franchise, EA Sports College Football does not yet have a set release date, being at a very early stage of development. Also don’t expect an announcement anytime soon, considering that the developer has promised to bring news “as the project progresses over the next few years”.
It is worth remembering that, even today, EA also brought news of Mass Effect Legendary Edition. The game, a collection of remasters of the first three titles in the franchise, arrives in May with numerous improvements, including a reworked interface, improvements in 3D models and effects, among others.
