“El Tigre” Paredes arrives in Mexicali – La Voz de la Frontera

Águilas de Mexicali and Venados de Mazatlán, formalized an exchange that saw the arrival of the major leaguer, Isaac Paredes, to El Nido de los Águilas; instead, Fabricio Macías and Daniel Castro go to the Mazatlan team.

Paredes, a native of Hermosillo Sonora, was born on February 18, 1999, bats and shoots on the right side. His Major League debut came with the Detroit Tigers during the 2020 season, when he was just 21 years old.

Within the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) he held his first meetings in the 2018-2019 edition with Yaquis de Obregón, passing in the 2020-21 campaign to the port with Venados de Mazatlán, where he achieved the batting leadership with an average of .379 , numbers that led him to wear the Mexican uniform in the Caribbean Series that same year.

Within his 5 seasons of experience in the winter circuit, Paredes has seen activity in 193 games, batting average of .298, 100 runs batted in, 15 homers, 201 hits, 44 hits from two corners, a situation that makes him one of the most effective sluggers of recent times.
