The NBA: Nets dominate Bulls in the top duel in the east”>Orlando Magic will return home after a two-game road trip. After a few days off for both teams, they and the Memphis Grizzlies will meet again at 5 p.m. ET on February 5 at the Amway Center. Both teams come into the game strengthened by wins in their previous games.
Orlando escaped with a win Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers by a single free throw margin, 119-118. The win came on the back of a strong push after halftime to overcome a 67-53 deficit. The Magic can attribute much of their success to shooter Gary Harris, who shot 6 for 11 from beyond the arc and finished with 22 points and five cents, and forward Wendell Carter Jr., who posted a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Memphis didn’t have too many problems with the New York Knicks on the road Wednesday as they won 120-108. Memphis power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. was one of the most active players on the team, notching a double-double on 26 points and ten boards.
Orlando should lose this next by 7.5. Their home turf hasn’t been a bettor’s paradise, as they’ve failed to beat the spread in 16 of their 23 home games.
Orlando came away with a 112-111 win when the two teams met in May last year. Will they repeat their success, or does Memphis have a better game plan this time around? We will find out soon enough.
The Grizzlies are a strong 7.5-point favorite against the Magic, according to the latest NBA odds.
Bettors were in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened with a 7.5 point spread and stayed there.
