FC Bayern – comment: Nagelsmann should learn from Flick – Bundesliga

Bayern President Hainer praised coach Nagelsmann for playing more attractive football than his predecessor Flick.

That’s true when it comes to the average number of goals per Bundesliga game. But the crucial question is: which football is more successful?

Nagelsmann has already lost five competitive games after six months. Against Bochum, Frankfurt, Augsburg and Gladbach twice!

Flick had only lost five times after 16 months, but had already won six titles!

Two Bayern truths stand out.

1.

They will not win the Champions League with this unconditional hooray football. That’s enough for the championship, but not for Real or Man City. Gnabry, Sané, Coman and Müller is one too many in the starting XI.

Nagelsmann appeared pleasantly self-critical after the Bochum embarrassment. Now he has to prove that he can vary – like Flick.

2.

The purchasing policy for the defensive is deficient. About 120 million euros were invested in the Frenchmen Hernández and Upamecano. 120 million euros plus double-digit million salaries!

At the same time, the bosses let the contract extensions from Alaba and Süle fail due to money and will.

As a reminder, Flick had addressed his frustration with the transfers in a tough manner. How long will Nagelsmann remain silent?
