Fifa and Uefa: Russia’s football before complete expulsion! – Soccer

World sport reacts to the Russian aggressor Vladimir Putin (69)!

BILD knows: Fifa and Uefa are planning to outlaw the sporting nation and are looking for a merger with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Discussions between the associations are going on behind the scenes. And there are first decisions.

► For the time being, Russia is no longer allowed to host international games on its own territory, only on neutral ground.

In addition, neither the Russian anthem nor the flag should be used. The teams may only appear under the name RFU (Football Union of Russia).

The Russian football before the complete expulsion!

► Soccer World Cup: Poland made it clear at the weekend that they will not play Russia in the play-offs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The meetings should take place at the end of March

The Polish association president Cezary Kulesza (59) tweeted: “Today’s decision by Fifa is completely unacceptable. We are not interested in getting involved in this game. Our position remains the same: the Polish national team will NOT PLAY against Russia, no matter what the name of the team is.”

Poland’s captain Robert Lewandowski (33), who wore a bandage in the Ukrainian national colors during Bayern’s 1-0 win in Frankfurt: “That’s the right decision! You cannot exclude sport from what is happening in politics. I can’t imagine going out there and forgetting what happened. For us, for the whole world, that is unacceptable.”

The world footballer continues: “Sure, the players from Russia probably can’t help it, but in the end it’s a country that does it.”

Lewandowski is deeply affected by the war in Ukraine, says on Sky: “We all know what’s happening there. It is unacceptable. That’s why we have to support all of Ukraine, all the people who are there and are fighting. I didn’t think what’s happening could happen. And that hurts!”

Sweden and the Czech Republic join the boycott of the Poles. If Russia had progressed a round in the play-offs, they would have had to play one of the teams. But that probably won’t happen at all.

► Europa League: Leipzig were drawn to Spartak Moscow in the round of 16, the only Russian side still represented in European competition. This game will also not be played on March 10th and 17th.

When asked by BILD, RB was still cautious: “RB Leipzig is currently in intensive talks with Uefa about how to proceed (…) and assumes that the association will make a decision in the near future.”

BILD knows: Leipzig knows about the movement at Uefa and is therefore waiting for the only right decision from the club’s point of view.

For the big associations, there is no alternative to kicking Russia out of the sport.

Sport has always been an important part of Putin’s propaganda. He judged i.a. 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, 2018 World Cup in Russia.
