An event that for many players and national teams has served to return to compete internationally since the beginning of the pandemic. This detail has caused that the general ignorance about the level of the rivals makes it difficult to award the role of favorite to any player, although, after this first day some names are beginning to stand out from the rest.
They have finally been of the game 243 players from 19 countries, after the 12 casualties that the event has suffered for reasons related to COVID-19. To this inconvenience, it is only worth mentioning the problems suffered by the Israeli team after the cancellation of their flights on Thursday, being forced to arrive in Malaga on Friday morning, with the competition underway, but in a great sporting gesture, their rivals agreed to delay their matches until their arrival, with the approval of the competition judges.
Saturday’s session will begin at 09:00 am and will determine who will make it to the semifinals of both categories.
