BC La Chaux-de-Fonds is smiling again. After a defeat and a draw conceded in January, the badistes of the watchmaking metropolis dominated Lausanne 6-2 on Saturday in interclub League A and thus pocketed their first success of the year.
This duel quickly turned in favor of Chaux-de-Fonniers. Loris and Maxime Pierrehumbert won their singles matches. Mathias Bonny won in singles and mixed doubles alongside Nikita Khakimov. The latter also picked up a victory in women’s doubles with Lucie Amiguet. Finally, the pair made up of Gilles Tripet and Stiliyan Makarski brought the last point to the BCC after the fifth set.
Despite this success, BC La Chaux-de-Fonds remains in eighth and penultimate place but is now three points ahead of the bottom, BV Saint-Gall-Appenzell.
Next meeting for Mathias Bonny and his teammates this Sunday against the leader of the classification, BC Uzwil. /gjo
