Flag Football Brasil announced this Sunday (13), the teams that will compete in the Flag Football Cup in Brazil in 2022. It has not yet been announced when the competition will take place, but what is known is that there will be three teams from Goiás in the dispute. The competition is back after two years.
There will be 67 men’s teams, three from the state of Goiás: Anápolis Tigers, Goiânia Redneks and Goiânia Saints. As for the women’s, Goiânia Redneks will be the only representative of the state among the 33 teams.

In its eighth edition, the competition is the largest in national Flag Football and has a record number of participating teams. In the tournament, the best of each region advance to the next phase, with the exception of the Southeast region, which, due to its size, was divided into two tournaments. The Brazilian Confederation of American Football (CBFA) has not yet informed about the regulation of the championship.
The Anápolis Tigers is the current champion of the Flag Football circuit in Goiás. Goiânia Saints recently released a list of approved athletes in the team selection process. Goiânia Rednecks will make a selection process next Saturday (19).
