Golfer Eduardo Romero, double winner in Crans-Montana, has died

Eduardo Romero died of cancer on Sunday at the age of 67. He was one of the most outstanding players in the history of Argentine golf.

Nicknamed “El Gato” (“the Cat” in Spanish), Eduardo Romero distinguished himself on the PGA European Tour, where he won eight titles including the Crans-Montana tournament in 1994 and 2000 and won nearly 8 million of dollars.

Eduardo Romero won his first title at the 1989 Lancôme Trophy in France, and his last thirteen years later when he won the Scottish Open aged 47.
