Nice surprise on the weekend of February 12 and 13 at the Occitanie junior and minimal judo championships in Toulouse where the Ours de Grisolles club won several titles: three juniors are selected for the French championship on March 5 and 6 , and two minimals, on March 25 and 26.
Among the juniors, Jana Cid, 48 kg, won all her fights, including her masterful final against the number 1 in the region. Maréva Cotillard wins the big category of -70 kg with a faultless course, Maréva finishes first and qualifies for the French first division championship, knowing that she will also represent Occitania in the French university championship, in May. Yanis Cotillard, 90 kg, had to fight hard before winning all his fights by ippon, the highest score that can be obtained in competition. These three junior judokas will go to Paris on March 5 and 6.
In the minimal category, two judokas won the -46 kg and -66 kg categories: Laurian Albet impressed with his mastery with his six victories before the limit to win the title.
